actually, a lot of types of fish are called mullet..

marine mullet is yummy...

the freshwater one, not that bad either but if caught wild, they have a 'muddy' taste due to it being freshwater

i like the freshwater black face one... but yes, a bit muddy taste, but dunno why it doesnt put me off...very rich in fats Very Happy

my hubby is teochew but refuses to eat this, doesnt understand why my taste in fish more teochew than him.

i also like sek hir (cooked fish) but tt one hard to find liao.

the thing about Oh Hir, is that they have really cute faces..... until their heads kenna cut off, but since usually steamed with head on, its very aesthetic to eat.
